If you need certain information from an iPhone on your computer, you have to connect the phone to the PC and wait for iTunes to synchronize everything, after which you have to navigate through its complex menu system. iBackup Viewer offers a faster and easier solution. The software gives you the possibility of exploring any data that is backed up by iTunes. This means that you don't have to connect your phone to see its contents, especially if it was connected and backed up recently.

iBackup Viewer is available in free and paid versions, for Windows and Mac OS X. Regardless of your choice, you can install the application in no time, without any difficulties. It doesn't ask for too much disk space, RAM or processing power, but it does require iTunes.

When launched, the application will immediately access all iOS backups, made by iTunes. Their contents are neatly categorized on a series of tabs, which you can select on the left side of the user interface. The software allows you to access your backed up contacts, call history, messages, notes or voice memos, as well as your photos, apps, Internet browsing history and raw data. Backups are loaded automatically, so you don't have to browse for anything in the iTunes folders. You can switch between different backups at a moment's notice, just by selecting them in a drop menu, located in the upper left corner of the window.

Besides the backed up data itself, you can also find options for saving the files in a location of your choice. The software provides options for saving only selected items and for saving everything on the currently selected tab, in a single run. Furthermore, certain information can be saved in more than one format. For example, the call history can be saved in a plain text file or in CSV format. If you opt for iBackup Viewer's Pro version, you will be able to extract these contents from encrypted backups as well.

Pros

You can explore your iOS device's backed up data, without connecting it to your computer. The software displays the data in a logical manner and it allows you to extract it without any effort.

Cons

Certain features are reserved for the paid version. With iBackup Viewer, you can explore any backed up data from your iOS device as fast and easy as possible.
